Broco Saitama's Samba Parade Heated Up Omiya's Summer

On August 1, 2026, Broco Saitama performed at the "Omiya Summer Festival 39th Spark Carnival," held around the west exit of Omiya Station.

The Spark Carnival has long been cherished as a symbol of Omiya's summer.

Through their samba performance and parade, Broco Saitama enveloped the streets of Omiya in excitement and smiles, together with everyone gathered along the route.

Broco Saitama: Rooted in the Community

Broco Saitama is a samba team based in Saitama.

We don't just deliver samba rhythms and performances; we value creating enjoyable spaces together with the local community by sharing music with the people present.

At this Spark Carnival as well, a natural interaction unfolded between the performing members and the audience along the route.

We created a parade that the entire town could enjoy, transcending the boundaries between spectators and performers.

The "Omiya Call" Created with the Audience

In the parade, we incorporated Broco Saitama's unique call and response, the "Omiya Call," where the audience interacts with the percussion rhythm.

Broco Saitama members send out the rhythm, and everyone along the route responds with cheers and clapping.

The "Omiya Call" was also featured in the performance in front of the Sogo Department Store. The responses gradually grew louder, creating a sense of unity where performers and audience alike were energized together around the parade.

The "Omiya Call," where even those unfamiliar with samba or hearing it live for the first time could join the rhythm on the spot, transformed samba from something to be merely watched into something everyone could participate in.

A Parade That Resonated with the Streets of Omiya

As the percussion sounds echoed through the town, smiles and clapping returned from the crowds along the route.

From children to adults, many people swayed their bodies and enjoyed the parade together with the Broco Saitama members.

The members play, the audience responds, and in reaction, the energy of the performance further intensifies.

Through this repeated cycle, a carnival unique to that day and that place was created, something that wouldn't emerge from simply performing a set program.

The summer streets of Omiya and the rhythms of samba resonated, creating a space where we could become one with everyone along the route.
