“L'OASI Pizza Samba” This Year's Best Carnival

On August 9, 2026, the annual Brazilian event “Pizza Samba,” organized by Porto do Carapau, was held at the Italian restaurant “L’OASI” in Shimizu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture.

What we at Porto do Carapau value is not just “playing” samba and Brazilian rhythms.
Connecting with people through music, laughing, dancing, and cheering together even with strangers.

We want to convey the power of Brazilian music culture in this region.

“Pizza Samba” began with that desire, and it is a cherished summer festival that we have created every year with L’OASI.

And this year, it was enveloped in an unprecedented level of excitement.
A place where Italian food culture meets Brazilian music.
The stage for Pizza Samba is the Italian restaurant L’OASI.

While everyone enjoys delicious pizza, food, and beer, Brazilian music is added to the mix.

Samba begins right in front of those enjoying their meal, the rhythms of pagode echo, and Afro-Brazilian music fills the venue.
Then, people who were just listening to the music begin to move their bodies little by little.
They start clapping, cheering, and dancing.
And before you know it, those eating at the tables and the performers on stage are all in the same circle.

The Italian “culture of enjoying food together” and the Brazilian “culture of enjoying music together.”
When these two meet at L’OASI, the unique groove of Pizza Samba is born.

I want to dance from the first stage

There were a total of 3 samba performances on this day.

However, from the very first stage, there were already people in the venue who wanted to dance. When the music starts, the body naturally begins to move.

This is exactly the kind of time we at Porto do Carapau want to deliver. Samba, pagode, Afro-Brazilian rhythms. While delivering the energy of each type of music, we gradually raise the temperature of the venue.

And in the end, it becomes a carnival where performers and customers dance together.
Crossing the boundary between “spectators” and “performers,” everyone present enters into the music.

This is the Pizza Samba we create.

和太鼓とブラジルのリズムが交わる

今年はさらに、和太鼓グループも参加。
ブラジルの打楽器と日本の和太鼓。
異なる文化から生まれたリズムが同じ空間で響き合い、会場をさらに熱くしました。

演奏が終わっても熱気は収まらず、何度もアンコールが起こるほどの盛り上がりに。ブラジルの音楽を軸に、和太鼓、イタリアの食文化、そしてそこに集まった人たち。

異なる文化や人が交わるたびに、新しいエネルギーが生まれていきます。
それは、私たちが音楽を通してつくりたい景色そのものです。

カラパウがロアジでつくる、夏のカーニバル

ピザサンバは、Porto do CarapauがL’OASIとともに育ててきた祭りです。
私たちがブラジルの音楽を持ち込み、ロアジがイタリアの食文化と空間をつくる。
そこに出演者が加わり、お客様が加わり、その日の空気が加わる。
同じイベントでも、毎年まったく違うカーニバルになるのは、そこに集まる人たちが一緒に時間をつくっているからです。

今年は、その「グルーブ」がこれまで以上に大きくなった一日でした。
食べる。飲む。聴く。踊る。笑う。騒ぐ。
そして、みんなでひとつになる。
それが、私たちPorto do CarapauがL’OASIでつくってきた「ピザサンバ」です。

一番熱い一日がここにあった

最初のステージから踊る人たち。
何度も起こるアンコール。
出演者とお客様が入り混じり、最後には会場全体がひとつになって踊る時間。

今年のピザサンバは、これまで積み重ねてきたものが一気に花開いたような、最高のカーニバルとなりました。

L’OASIという場所があり、そこに私たちPorto do Carapauの音楽があり、そして一緒に楽しんでくれる人たちがいる。

そのすべてが重なって、この日だけの特別な祭りが生まれました。
